Transport in Rome
From the airport:
From the airport (Fiumicino and Ciampino) you can reach Rome with:
• Transfer
You can use our transfer service with a driver who will be waiting outside the terminal for your flight and have a sheet with your name. For costs click here.
• Taxi
Taxis are available opposite the to the Arrivals Hall. The approximate cost of a trip to the center of Rome is about 45 euro. It is recommended to take only the taxi white licensed taxis.
• Car
At the airport it is possible to rent a car with the major car rental companies.
• Public transport:
– From Fiumicino airport, you can take the train “Leonardo Express” that leaves every day from Fiumicino Airport station every 30 minutes and stops at Termini Station without any intermediate stops. From Termini Station there are two subway lines and many bus routes. Bus line 64 runs through the historic center of Rome. It costs about 15 euros per person
– From Ciampino airport, you can take the bus COTRAL.
There are two different options:
1 – COTRAL bus to Ciampino station. From Ciampino railway station every 15 minutes a train to Rome Termini Station.
2 – COTRAL bus to the subway station of Rome “Anagnina” (Line A).
From the railway station
From the railway station (Termini or Tiburtina), you can travel with:
• Bus (ATAC)
In front of the train station (Termini or Tiburtina) there are several bus lines.
• Subway
– from Termini Station passing two underground lines (Line A and Line B) and two railway lines FL3 and FL5 that cross the center of Rome.
– from Tiburtina station passes a subway line (Line B) and a railway line FL3 that cross the center of Rome.
